A: With a great deal of trouble. When we first got together, we all thought it would be great to have a name which did really sound like a jazz group. At that time there were a couple of groups from the States, like the Squirrel Nut Zippers, that we thought sounded like fun, without giving away the nature of the music. Hip Mo’ Toast, is our nonsense word for something fun, hip and slightly stupid.
A: That would be a melodion.
A: An instrument with a silly name and sound. When we first started playing I Love Trash, we thought it lacked a little something, and that something was the melodion. It’s a cross between a piano accordion and a harmonica, only plastic.
A: That's easy. You can find out where we're playing each month by checking out the gig page of this website or join our mailing list.
A: Well, like the song says, “Zoo Bee Zoo Bee Zoo means that I love you”. Duh.
A: A swing bossanova is an infectious groove very similar to the bossanova, only swing. Amazing! A few bars of this loungey swing/Latin hybrid will get your head bobbing and your foot tapping, you mad swinger you!
